The House on the Hill Toy Museum is the largest privately owned Toy Museum in Europe with an area of 7000 sq. ft. The Museum boasts of over 80,000 individual items of mixed antiquity on display.

The House on the Hill Toy Museum first was first opened to the public in 1991, showcasing toys that people of all ages would have possessed or enjoyed playing with during their young years.

The Hill Toy Museum even has artifacts which range from the late Victorian era. Some of them are from the early 1980’s. Few of the notable contributions is from a person who started to buy toys in 1946. First of his collection was a Hornby train set which he bought using his pocket money.

Hill Toy Museum is a vast collection of toys taking you back to the past. These marvels reveal the culture, tradition, fashions, and tastes of countries around the world. Some are simple yet charming some technically advanced.

Some of the main attractions at the Hill Toy Museum would be the Daleks, famous from the 1963 movie, The Daleks. You can also meet the life size Jar Jar Binks from the Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones or have a close encounter with prehistoric Dinosaurs.

Through the years, Hill Toy Museum has collected a stunning amount of impressive toys, exciting games and interesting books. These are not just from London, but from all over the world.

There is also an interesting collector shop inside the Hill Toy Museum. This collector shop sells old toys and has a good collection of vintage slot machines, a popular gambling game. Some of the recent memorabilia’s were the Roy Orbison’s watch, Tommy Steele’s Jukebox, Elton John’s money box and autographs

Another popular section at the museum is the Golden Jubilee exhibition. This section features a stunning collection of replica crown jewels and the royal memorabilia.
